HUDO Centre Date: 20th November 2018 UPDATE (2) ON YOUTH ASSOCIATION IN TALODI UNDERGOING INJUDICIOUS TRIAL Two court sessions were held on 8th November and 18th November 2018, for the five members of Talodi youth association for development and the case against the sixth (6th) member was dismissed. The justice announced that he will release his verdict / judgment during the next session on 21st November 2018. The first court session was held on 8th November 2018. During this court session, the justice crossexamined two of the defendants; Emam Ali Hussein and Mahgoub Mahmoud Jegir. In the same court session the justice dismissed the case against Mr. Adil Hamid Mohammed. On 18th November 2018, the second court session was held, and the justice questioned the other three defendants; Elnaeem Abdelmoneim, Shawgei Elamein and Hamdan Yagoub Azaz. At the end of the second session, the judge adjourned court to 21st November 2018 for releasing the court verdict. Observation Notes  A group of lawyers from Nuba Bar Association appeared before court to defend the youth and support their lawyers HUDO calls upon;  Sudan government to consider issues raised by the youth and community concerns  Talodi locality authority to value the community’s interests/ concerns and to stop intimidating them when they demand for their rights.  The judiciary to administer justice.  The organizations and lawyers to offer the necessary support and coverage for this case.
