HUDO Centre  Instructed the court secretary to write to the military court informing them that they did not implement court orders repeatedly which led to the escape of a defendant. The military’s legal consultant/ Yasir Abdelwakeel objected that SAF soldiers should not be detained at Kober prison because Kober prison is not a military prison. He requested to get the copy of order so that he starts on the process of appealing/ objecting the order at the Court of Appeal. The judge adjourned court to 18th October 2017 Notes;  More than thirty lawyers and eight journalists were present. The general public turned up in big numbers and the courtroom could not accommodate them all.  The 6th and 7th defendants’ names were written wrongly on the investigators minutes.  Court discovered later that one defendant (escaped) was not present in court. This was because his brother answered/ responded when defendants’ names were being called out loud (two defendants 9th and 10th are brothers). However, there was other defendant escaped earlier since the case filed by police, his name is Hassan Abdelfadeil.  The commander (1st lieutenant) did not inform court about the defendant’s escape on arrival.  The relatives of both the victims’ and defendants’ sat together peacefully  When the judge inquired (asked) about where the defendants’ were detained, he discovered that they were detained in PDF camp western Omdurman town.  The victims’ families were contented with the judge’s order to keep defendants in Kober prison.  The villages mentioned (Almasan and Al-Mowaileh) are located in Al-Abbasiya locality.
