Scrutinized official declarations 1.5 Scope of the Study Sudan is an African country bordering Egypt and Libya to the North, Red sea, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the East, South Sudan to the South and Central Africa and Chad to the West. It consists of eighteen (18) states including South Kordufan (SK) and Blue Nile (BN). Both SK and BN states cover most of the southern border, neighboring South Sudan. This report covers the two states of SK and BN where HUDO Centre focuses, as well as the situation of IDPs scattered in other states.
