Gadeir is a small village in Gadeir Locality within the eastern region of South Kordofan State/ Nuba Mountains. There is a lot gold-mining activities taking place in Gadeir. The Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) was the political coalition that was governing the civil transitional period. HUDO Centre is concerned about the safety of civilians in Sudan during this difficult period of fighting between SAF and RSF and calls for the following; • SAF in Gadeir to stop arresting the civilians. • The head of the security committee in South Kordufan State (the governor) to investigate the circumstances behind this arrest and make the findings public. • The Sudanese Mineral Resources Company should take control of mining operations and consider the safety of human, animals and the environment.
