HUDO Centre The general collapse of the health system in Kadogli exaggerated the health negative impacts. For instance, for more than five months, the dialysis unit closed down and as a result, more than five patients died. These were patients of renal failure who used to be served by the closed unit and they don’t have enough resources to travel out of the town since the cost is high due to the siege of Kadogli city by SPLA-N. The siege forced the travelers to use long and expensive routes. Hajar Almac is a neighbourhood at the eastern part of Kadogli city (the capital of South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains). HUDO Centre is concerned about the safety of civilians within this current devastating war, and calls for the following:  The SPLA-N (Elhelo) to stop bombarding and shelling civilians’ areas and to hold to account the responsible SPLA-N soldiers for this atrocity and others before.  The security committee in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to take the necessary measures in protecting the civilians.  Sudan Central government to urgently supply the health units (hospitals) in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains with the necessary basic supplies and technical/ medical human resources.
