Civilians of South Kordofan State both inside and outside the state continue to face worsening living conditions day by day. Detainees continue to endure conditions degrading to human dignity in detention centers and jails while being denied visits by family members and friends. Detainees are also denied access to legal representation. We continue to make an urgent appeal to the international community to exercise pressure on the Sudan government to allow local and international aid organizations access to deliver aid to the needy and to monitor and document human right abuses. We also call for an international fact-finding mission to investigate the conditions and numbers of detainees and missing individuals and to determine responsibility.
