Other Issue: (Blue Nile Trials) Special Criminal Court in Sinja town presided by Judge: Abdel Moneim Younis, continued hearing at Blue Nile incidents case No: (4176/2011) as follows: • On 5 and 6 February 2014 the defendants were indicted, and the defense presented a list of defense witnesses. • On 12 and 13 February 2014, the court heard defense witnesses and questioned them. • On 19 and 20 February 2014, the court completed hearing to the (64) defense witnesses and questioned them. • During the period between the hearing of 20th February and the sentence hearing the defense and the prosecutor had filed their arguments . • On March 13, 2014 the Court released its judgment against the defendants in the above mentioned case in the presence of 78 defendants and absence of 17 others, acquitting 31 defendantsiv and convicting 64 others under the articles : Criminal Law of the year 1991: Article (21): Subscribe to the implementation of criminal intent. Article (50): undermining the constitutional order. Article (51): provoking war against the State. Article (130): murder. Article (187): genocide. Combat Terrorism Act: Articles (5 & 6).
