However, one of the victim’s relatives informed HUDO that;“the victim’s phone was still on for four days later and the perpetrators reply/ answer calls in case of calling yet, police could not even follow up. 2.2.10 Two farmers murdered by unknown people in Kortala On 28thMarch 2021, the dead bodies of Mr. Ibrahim Aboun Teeya Al-Jak (70 years) together with his son Mr. Mujahid Ibrahim Aboun (30 years) were found by cattle keepers in Eltaital forest of Kortala. The dead bodies were tied. The cattle keepers reported the case to Habilla police who took them to Habilla hospital for postmortem. After postmortem, the police handed over the dead bodies to the relatives for burial. The police did not carry out further investigations. Postmortem report indicated that, the two died of gun shots /bullet wounds. One of the victims’ relatives informed HUDO that, before being killed, both Mr. Ibrahim and his son Mr. Mujahid were at the forest to make charcoal. 2.2.11 Killing of Adaroub by robbers near Kadogli On 30th March 2021, three armed people robbed and killed Mr. Ali Gabir Abduelnabi Hamid (32 years old). The deceased was a trader known by a nickname of Adaroub. The incident happened as he was entering Kadogli town coming from Hegair Elfoul market riding his motorbike. He was carrying money in suitcase which was looted. 2.2.12 Murder of Mr. Al-Mangour by unknown people in Kadogli On 6th April 2021, Mr. Sheikh-Eldin Yousif Al-Mangour (42 years) together with other two farmers (Mr. Haroun Hamad and Mr. Wad Elsheikh) were collecting wood in Mirri forest for making charcoal. Suddenly, the two farmers heard gunshots at the side where Mr. Al-Mangour was working. They rushed towards his side only to find him dead with two bullet wounds (on his head and on his back). They observed the footsteps of the assailants and the direction they took. They reported the murder case at Kadogli police and the dead body was taken by police and community members to Kadogli hospital for 16
