HUDO Centre Date: 23rd August 2021 No. H.K/UA/16/021 URGENT APPEAL UPDATE ON ARREST OF MR. MUKWAR BY SPLA-N (SRF) IN DAMAZIN, SUDAN Since 26thJuly 2021, when Mr. Elamein Meida Mukwar was arrested by SPLA-N (SRF) in Damazin, his whereabouts is unknown to date. This raised fear about his fate. On 26th July 2021, Sudan People Liberation Army – North (Sudan Revolutionary Front) officer arrested Mr. Elamein Meida Mukwar from Damazin market without giving a reason. The last time he was seen at Malik Centre on 26th July 2021, since then no news about his whereabouts and this raised fear among his relatives and friends. HUDO is very concerned about the situation of civilians in conflict areas. HUDO calls upon:  Sudan People Liberation Army – North (Sudanese Revolutionary Front) to immediately disclose his detention and to released Mr. Elamein Meida Mukwar without condition.  Sudan government to investigate this case and hold to account those who are responsible for this arrest and forced disappearance.  Sudan government to control their allied armed groups.  Sudan government to respect the constitutional rights of citizens  Sudan government to respect its international obligations.
