HUDO Centre Date: 29th April 2024 No.: H.K/UA/05/024 URGENT APPEAL SAF ARRESTED TWO COUSIN BROTHERS IN ABU-JIBAIHA, SUDAN On 2nd March 2024, SAF in Abu-Jibaiha arrested Mr. Abduelraheem Abdalla and Mr. Abdalla Fadelalla from their home in Algalaa (the neighborhood) of Abu-Jibaiha town. They were accused of being associated with Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Since then, they have been held incommunicado and their fate is unknown. On 2nd March 2024, Sudan Armed Force (SAF) soldiers came on a military vehicle and arrested Mr. Abduelraheem Abdalla Mohammed Monawar and Mr. Abdalla Fadelalla Mohammed Monawar from their home in Algalaa (the neighborhood) of Abu-Jibaiha town. SAF arrested and took them to Abu-Jibaiha military garrison where they have been held incommunicado. Since then, nobody has been allowed to visit them. This raised fear that they could be undergoing torture. The two were accused by SAF to be members of Rapid Support Force (RSF). HUDO Centre is concerned about the safety of civilians in Sudan during this difficult period of the conflict/ fighting between SAF and RSF and calls for the following:  The Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in Abu-Jibaiha to immediately and unconditionally release Mr. Abduelraheem Abdalla and Mr. Abdalla Fadelalla as well as any other civilians that could be under their detention or take them to the courts of law.  The commander of SAF in South Kordufan State /Nuba Mountains to investigate the circumstance behind the arrest of Mr. Abduelraheem Abdulla and Mr. Abdalla Fadelalla and make the results public.  The Sudanese Armed Forces to stop the arrest of civilians.
