HUDO Centre Additional information: Mr. Al-Rashid Musa Faraj-Allah (53 years) from Miri tribe (Nuba), a resident of Kohleeyat village and a charcoal maker. Kadogli is the capital of South Kordofan State / Nuba Mountains. Kohleeyat is a village located 15 km West of Kadogli town. As the military confrontation between SAF and RSF continues in Khartoum and other states, SAF carried out arbitrary arrest operations in South Kordofan State/ Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile state particularly targeting the youth. Recently, Kadogli experienced series of attacks by Sudan People Liberation Army – North (SPLA-N). As a result, SAF reacted by arresting people arbitrarily. For instance: on 10th August 2023, Sudan Armed Forces in Kadogli arrested Mr. Mohammed Kurtokela and Mrs. Noha Abdel-Fattah Tiya from their homes. The reason for the arrest was that the two were accused by spreading rumors (harmful information) and terror among civilians. They were released later after interrogation, intimidation and torture.
