ARMED SAF SOLDIERS ROBBED MR. SAEED IN KADUGLI, SUDAN
On 10th December 2024, three (3) armed SAF soldiers forcefully entered Mr. Saeed’s house,
robbed his bag containing documents, went away with it and then abandoned it later. The
incident was reported at Kadogli police, but the police did not investigate the case.
On 10th December 2024 at 8:30 PM (Sudan local time), three (3) gunmen dressed in Sudan Armed
Force (SAF) uniform forcefully entered the house of Mr. Saeed Musa Ibrahim (55 years old) in the
Al-Muwazafin east neighborhood. Mr. Saeed tried to fight back the intruders but they overpowered
him and threatened to shoot him.
Then they searched the house and carried away Mr. Saeed’s bag containing documents and his
personal smart phones. Mr. Saeed implored the attackers not to take the bag and leave the
documents and seals, but they refused. The attackers later fled from the house and threw the
documents and seals some distance from his home. The next day (11th Dec 2024) Mr. Saeed
reported the robbery incident at Central Police office in Kadogli, but the police did not carry out any
investigations.
Mr. Saeed Musa (45 years old) is from Fulani tribe and an employee at the Ministry of Infrastructure
and Urban Planning. Al-Muwazafin East is a suburb in Kadogli the capital of South Kordofan State/
Nuba Mountains.
HUDO Centre is concerned about the safety of civilians in Sudan during this difficult period of fighting
between SAF and RSF and calls for the following:
The Sudanese Armed Forces in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to control the conduct
of its soldiers.
The Sudanese Armed Forces in South Kordufan State/ Nuba Mountains to investigate this
case.
The police in Kadogli to conduct their duties responsibly and investigate this case.
The prosecutor in South Kordufan State to ensure that there is rule of law.
