• The NISS also raided the office of the Khartoum based Fellowship of Christian University Students (FCUS) on 24th Feb 2013 and arrested two of its executive members one had been released on condition to report to their office daily, while the other is still under arrest. The NISS also on the same day raided FCUS-guest house in another area in Khartoum and confiscated a car belonging to FCUS. The reason behind the systematic targeting According to HUDO's observation, it is clear that the systematic campaign of the government is part of a plan targeting the native Nubians. Even the timing is arranged to destroy all institutions that gather Nubians either religious or social as the beginning of implementing the Univision (single Islamic Arabian), denial of Nubian Christians' religion rights and Nuba people's rights to practice their culture or social activities. This was clear when the government security found no charges to issue against the innocent Nubian church leaders and they began accusing them of Christianization and accessing funds from outside Sudan in illegal ways. Breaking News: 1. On 21st Jan 2013, the judge released Jaleilla Khamees after he condemned her (unjustly) under articles (21 , 64 of Sudan criminal law), and he was satisfied by how long she spent in jail. 2. On 3rd Feb 2013, the prosecutor attorney released Elnazeer Osman Jomaa under condition of bill, after more than a year in jail. 3. On 25th Feb 2013, Ibrahim Elbaih was assassinated crushed by NISS car (as car accident) at Khartoum North. His family discovered about his death after four days when they found his dead body in a Khartoum hospital morgue. 4. The locating of the Southern Sudanese rebel (DC) at Abu Jibaiha area made further tension as well as tension in the demarcation of the border between Sudan and South Sudan at Kaka area. As a result of this tension, 18 civilian Victims died (on 7 – 08 Feb 2013). See HUDO report (Other Conflict) issued on 12th Feb. 2013 5. The NISS have burned some farm harvests (sorghum) in area of Al Abbasiya locality nearby the IDPs camps, specifically farms owned by those who gave the IDPs food aid. 6. On 26th Feb 2013, pupil Mawada Ahammed Sharafeldin (11 years old) was kidnapped in Dilling / South Kordufan, by Egyptian called Mohammed Hamdy and his son. The kid was found tied in the abandoned home and medical checks made to her reported no rape. The case was opened against them and they were arrested. 7. In the beginning of February 2013, twelve detainees were transferred from Dilling to Kadogli. Most of them detained since June 2011when the conflict started (see the remarks on table). Appeal The situation in South Kordufan is still going from bad to worse, as well as displaced people in all cities of the Sudan. As for the situation of the IDPs, it is extremely worse. They are in need for any aid, and before that they need protection from the oppression of those international criminal leaders. Their violations still fall under the threat of international crimes. They are still running systematic killing operation extrajudicial towards the Nubian tribes, nevertheless abducting, raping, looting, burning and the forced displacement of villages, in addition the use of human aid in order to evacuate the camps. This failure of arresting them, has enabled them to keep their crimes continuing with lack of respect to Geneva Convention and international humanitarian law. So (HUDO) recommends an urgent action by international community as follows: : Need to put pressure on government of Sudan to allow National and International NGOs to access IDP camps, to provide food and non-food aid. The presence of NGOs in camps will help in monitoring the protection issues. IV
