2.2.19 Murder of Elzaki by unknown people near Abu-Kershola On 28thJune 2021, Mr. Adam Ibrahim Elzaki (31 years old) a cattle farmer based in AbuKershola had gone out to search for his lost cattle/ animals. He first informed his family members that he was going out to search by pursuing the cattle footsteps. His family members waited for him to return home up to the following day in vain. They also went out following the same footsteps and found him dead/ killed at a place called Khor Elnabaq. They took his dead body and buried it in Abu-Kershola after filing/ reporting the murder case at Abu-Kershola police. But police did not investigate or even visit the crime scene. 2.2.20 Murder of Mr. Kowa near Kadogli On 29th June 2021, Mr. Kowa Eltoum Kojna (31 years old) was shot dead while he was driving his tuktuk16 from Hajar Elfoul market to Kadogli town. The deceased was in the company of two other people when four armed people shot bullets at them. The other two people managed to escape from the scene and the assailants took the tuktuk with some money that was with the deceased/ victim. This incident happened when they were approaching Kadogli town at El-Afaan seasonal river. Later, the dead body was taken to Kadogli hospital where a postmortem was done before the burial. The case was filed at Kadogli police. 2.3 Sexual Violence Sexual Violence in Blue Nile 2.3.1 Lady raped by four men/ motorbike drivers On 7th May 2021, Ms. Sh. W. was raped by four motorbike drivers in Roseries locality. The rapists went ahead to record/ film the incident and broadcasted the video on social media. The victim of rape is a resident of Damazin town and she is from Hausa tribe. On 7th May 2021, Ms. Sh. (the victim) was traveling from Roseries to Shanfur. She used a minibus from Roseries to Tayba Albeliab and from there she had to use a motorbike17 because there is no direct minibus from Roseries. On the way between Tayba Albeliab and Shanfur villages, the rider of the motorbike stopped suddenly pretending that the 16 Motorbike with three wheels Motorbikes are commonly used as means of public transport in Blue Nile 17 22
